A characterful vintage French wooden stool, believed to date from around the 1930s. Its distinctive demi-lune seat is supported by three splayed bobbin-turned legs, joined by matching turned stretchers that form an attractive tripod base.
The stool has a deep brown aged finish with areas of lighter wear that reveal the grain and turning of the wood. Its gently curved seat and rhythmic bobbin detailing give it a sculptural quality, making it as decorative as it is practical.
Sturdy and stable with no wobble, it could be used as an occasional stool, a compact bedside or side table, a plant stand, or a decorative surface beside a bath or armchair. Its unusual shape would sit particularly well within French country, rustic farmhouse, folk-inspired or collected European interiors.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together. I was quickly reimbursed for overage shipping costs before even requesting a refund! Each jar was very well packed to minimize chance of breakage in transit, and they all arrived undamaged. I will shop here again!
Fantastic! Beautiful! I have been hunting for some Alfred Corneau urns for many years, as most sellers won't send them internationally, as well as at such a reasonable exchange rate. Very happy! : )
