A decorative pair of French Art Deco cast aluminium vases, dating from around the 1930s. Each has a tall, tapered form with a stepped base and geometric moulded decoration, including stylised swags, rosettes and chevron detailing typical of the period.
Finished in a soft white paint, the vases have a lightly weathered surface that gives definition to the raised decoration. The interiors retain heavier age-related patina, with natural discolouration and traces of green from previous use, adding to their character.
With their strong architectural shape and symmetrical design, they would work particularly well displayed as a pair on a mantel, console or shelf, or used for dried and fresh flowers. Their relatively narrow depth also makes them useful where space is limited.
A distinctive pair with plenty of decorative presence and a particularly pleasing Art Deco profile.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together.
