Timeworn French antique ceramic bed warmer, known as a brique chauffe-lit. It would have been heated in an oven or fire, wrapped in a cloth and then placed in the bed. This one has a beautiful brown glaze with the pottery showing through and would make a wonderful display.
Condition: This piece has a lot of wear to the glaze.
