Beautiful collection of French vintage Vallauris pottery. Included in the collection are 8 pieces in brightly coloured glazes. There are three leaf-shaped bowls in autumnal tones, a fish plate, a small double stem vase, a trinket box, a small triangular ashtray and a pair of candle holders.
Condition: There are chips to edge one of the leaf plates and the fish plate as well as some general signs of ageing and wear.
Vallauris pottery, made in the small town of Vallauris in Provence, is celebrated for its distinctive glazes, earthy tones, and bold mid-century designs. The town became especially famous in the 20th century when artists such as Picasso worked with local potters, elevating the tradition into an art form. Today, authentic Vallauris pieces are highly sought after for their craftsmanship and striking decorative style.
