An unusual antique Arts and Crafts copper vase or jardinière, dating to circa 1900. Its distinctive design features a broad, sweeping flared rim, a tall tapered neck and a rounded lower body, combining the character of Arts and Crafts metalwork with the flowing lines associated with Art Nouveau.
The vase has been constructed from joined sections of copper, with an original castellated seam running down the body. Circular copper details further distinguish the design, while the surface has developed a rich, naturally aged patina of warm reddish-brown tones, darker areas and traces of verdigris.
Standing 33cm tall, this substantial decorative piece makes a striking statement on its own or filled with greenery, branches or flowers. Its unusual proportions and warm copper finish work particularly well in both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together. I was quickly reimbursed for overage shipping costs before even requesting a refund! Each jar was very well packed to minimize chance of breakage in transit, and they all arrived undamaged. I will shop here again!
Fantastic! Beautiful! I have been hunting for some Alfred Corneau urns for many years, as most sellers won't send them internationally, as well as at such a reasonable exchange rate. Very happy! : )
