A beautiful large 19th-century French tian bowl, with a rich green glazed interior and warm, unglazed terracotta exterior. Measuring an impressive 47 cm in diameter, this antique earthenware bowl has a wonderfully generous form, with gently sloping sides, a small pouring lip and visible concentric throwing marks beneath the glaze.
Traditionally used in the kitchens of southern France for preparing and mixing ingredients, the tian is a characteristic form of French country pottery. The vibrant green glaze, with its natural variations in colour and subtle drips over the rim, contrasts beautifully with the earthy tones of the terracotta exterior.
A stunning piece of French country pottery, perfect as a centrepiece on a large kitchen table, displayed on an open shelf or incorporated into a Mediterranean or French country interior. Its generous proportions and striking colour make it equally attractive displayed alone.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together. I was quickly reimbursed for overage shipping costs before even requesting a refund! Each jar was very well packed to minimize chance of breakage in transit, and they all arrived undamaged. I will shop here again!
Fantastic! Beautiful! I have been hunting for some Alfred Corneau urns for many years, as most sellers won't send them internationally, as well as at such a reasonable exchange rate. Very happy! : )
