A lovely vintage French wooden cutting board with a long, slightly flared handle, beautifully worn surface and warm, naturally aged wood.
Made from a substantial piece of solid wood, this old French chopping board has a traditional rectangular shape with softly rounded corners and an elongated integral handle that widens gently towards the end. Its pale honey-coloured wood displays an abundance of knife marks, cuts and scratches, reflecting many years of use in a French kitchen.
The heavily worked surface has developed a particularly attractive texture, with overlapping knife marks and natural variations in the colour and grain of the wood. Darkened areas around the edges, together with an old scorch mark on one face, add to its rustic appearance.
Measuring 38 cm in length and 21.2 cm in width, with a thickness of 2.8 cm, this vintage wooden board has appealing proportions and a simple, traditional form.
Perfect for displaying upright against a kitchen wall, resting on open shelving or arranging alongside antique French pottery, copper and other traditional kitchen utensils. A lovely addition to a French country or rustic kitchen, whether displayed individually or as part of a collection of old wooden chopping boards.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together. I was quickly reimbursed for overage shipping costs before even requesting a refund! Each jar was very well packed to minimize chance of breakage in transit, and they all arrived undamaged. I will shop here again!
Fantastic! Beautiful! I have been hunting for some Alfred Corneau urns for many years, as most sellers won't send them internationally, as well as at such a reasonable exchange rate. Very happy! : )
