This French antique cast iron field cross, also known as a pilgrim cross, is beautifully aged. Often used to mark the way for travellers or pilgrims, they were also placed on the edges of fields or vineyards. We think this one could have been used next to a vineyard as it is decorated with grapes and vines.
It has wear commensurate with age and use.
