Pair of French Antique Brass Andirons or Fire Dogs 13"

This pair of French antique brass andirons dates to the 19th century and features a refined, turned form with strong architectural lines. The warm brass has developed a soft, aged patina, complemented by the original iron supports behind, showing wear from use.

Originally made to support logs in the fireplace, these andirons now work beautifully as decorative pieces. They make a striking statement placed in front of a hearth, but can also be styled on a console, flanking a mantelpiece, or even used as sculptural bookends, bringing depth and character to an interior.

Condition: There is wear commensurate with age and use.
