Large French Vintage Vallauris Ceramic Oyster Plate by Marius Giuge 14.6"

Large beautiful French vintage Vallauris ceramic oyster plate by Maruis Giuge. This vibrant serving platter has space for twelve oysters. It has a yellow and brown glaze that is reminiscent of a sunflower. 

Condition: There are a couple of chips to the front of the plate, please refer to the images.

Vallauris pottery, made in the small town of Vallauris in Provence, is celebrated for its distinctive glazes, earthy tones, and bold mid-century designs. The town became especially famous in the 20th century when artists such as Picasso worked with local potters, elevating the tradition into an art form. Today, authentic Vallauris pieces are highly sought after for their craftsmanship and striking decorative style.
