Large French antique confit pot with an ochre yellow glaze. These beautiful pots were originally used to preserve meats in the South of France. This confit jar would look beautiful placed on console table or kitchen counter, fill it with dried flowers or display with a collection of French pottery.
Condition: There is general signs of ageing with some scuffs to the glaze. There is also a hole in the bottom that at some point in it's life, has been used for drainage so the pot can be used to hold a plant. Please refer to the images.
