Beautifully proportioned, this French vintage oval mirror features a hand-painted faux burr walnut finish, framed by a contrasting faux straight-grain border with delicate stringing. The carefully executed decorative finish creates wonderful depth and warmth, making the frame just as much a feature as the mirror itself.
Dating to the mid-20th century, the design is understated with clean lines and a skilfully painted faux bois finish rather than elaborate ornamentation. Decorative tassels at either side add an extra decorative detail, while the warm wood-effect tones complement both traditional and contemporary interiors.
