A beautiful pair of French vintage preserving jars in softly tinted aqua glass, each retaining its original glass lid and metal wire closure. Embossed SOLIDEX to the front, these mid century kitchen storage jars have a wonderfully authentic French pantry feel.
The softly waisted silhouettes, thick blue-green glass and aged iron fastenings give the pair a rustic character that works beautifully in French country kitchens, utility rooms and open shelving displays. Originally made for preserving and pantry storage, they are equally attractive today as decorative kitchen accents or for holding dried goods, utensils or seasonal stems.
The subtle irregularities in the glass and the oxidised metal closures add warmth and texture, while the aqua tint catches the light beautifully. A lovely pair of practical vintage French glass jars.
