A beautiful antique French confit pot in glazed terracotta, with a rich reddish-brown exterior and contrasting mustard-yellow interior. Dating to approximately the late 19th century, this traditional French earthenware pot has a rounded body, gently flared rim and two original loop handles, both of which remain intact.
The surface has developed a wonderfully varied patina, with areas of worn glaze, lighter patches of exposed terracotta and subtle variations in colour. The rim shows particularly attractive wear, with small chips revealing the natural clay beneath the yellow glaze. These signs of age and use give the pot its distinctive appearance.
Originally made for use in French country kitchens, pots of this type were traditionally used for storing and preserving food. Today, it makes a lovely decorative piece for a kitchen, open dresser or rustic interior, displayed on its own or alongside other antique French pottery.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together. I was quickly reimbursed for overage shipping costs before even requesting a refund! Each jar was very well packed to minimize chance of breakage in transit, and they all arrived undamaged. I will shop here again!
Fantastic! Beautiful! I have been hunting for some Alfred Corneau urns for many years, as most sellers won't send them internationally, as well as at such a reasonable exchange rate. Very happy! : )
