Carefully sourced in France: One of a kind piece

A sculptural pair of French antique cast iron urn planters, with fluted bowls set on stepped bases and raised on paw feet.

These antique planters date to to the latter part of the 19th century. They have developed a deep, dark patina.

They work just as well indoors as out. On a console or shelf, they hold plants or trailing greenery; outside, they sit comfortably among stone, gravel or planting, where the iron will continue to weather gently over time.

A well-balanced pair, with strong decorative presence.
