Large antique French confit pot with yellow glaze. Originally used to preserve meats in the South of France, the terracotta has a rich patina and has touches of green over the mustard yellow. This confit jar would look beautiful placed on console table or kitchen counter, fill it with dried flowers or display with a collection of pots.

Weight: 5.5 lbs / 2.5kg
Condition: There is a crack from the rim, please refer to the photos. There is also general wear and signs of ageing, with some loss to the glaze in places. This piece has a hole in the bottom, so could be used as a planter.
