A charming antique ceramic cache pot dating to the early 20th century, decorated in relief with blooming poppies and stylised foliage. The softly moulded body is finished with a scalloped rim and raised botanical decoration that wraps around the vessel.
The glaze combines shades of green and yellow with a turquoise interior, highlighting the sculptural detail of the leaves and flowers. Subtle variations in the glaze and gentle crazing add to the character of the piece.
Likely produced in continental Europe during the Art Nouveau period, this cache pot would originally have been used as a decorative planter and remains ideal for displaying houseplants or bulbs.
