Stunning Spanish Triana pottery lebrillo or basin from Seville, dating to the 20th century. This earthenware pottery bowl, is decorated with a hand-painted geometric design in blue, green and yellow on a white background. To the centre, is a striking cockerel motif with warm red and orange tones. The lebrillo is signed by the artist and is freely hand-painted with beautiful broad brushstrokes.
This tin glazed earthenware bowl is deep and would look stunning mounted on a wall or as a centrepiece.
There are two chips to the rim as well as a small hairline crack, also running to the rim, please refer to the photos. There is a hook fitted to the base although we would recommend testing the strength of this before mounting it on a wall.
