Beautifully timeworn French antique ceramic bed warmer. This everyday object, known as a "brique chauffe-lit, would have been heated in an oven or fire then wrapped in cloth and placed in the bed. This bed warming brick is made from terracotta and glazed in a beautiful orange-red tone. Display on a shelf or sideboard to add a rich, rustic patina to your home decor.
This piece has a lot of wear to the glaze and some chips, which is what attracted us to it.
