Stunning antique French copper water measure, known as a “ferrat,” originating from the Auvergne region of France. It dates to the late 18th or early 19th century and would make a beautiful decoration. The copper ferrat could be used to hold logs next to a fire, or even serve as a champagne bucket.
There is wear commensurate with age and use. It has an old repair to the bottom.
