A lovely vintage French wooden cutting board with a substantial, thick construction, beautifully worn surface and simple, traditional handle.
Made from solid wood, this old French chopping board has an elongated rectangular shape with softly chamfered corners and a short, integral wooden handle. Its naturally aged wood displays attractive variations in colour, from warm honey-brown tones to lighter areas of grain, alongside numerous knife marks and small imperfections reflecting years of use.
Measuring 44.5 cm in length and an impressive 3.9 cm thick, this substantial wooden board weighs approximately 1.82 kg. The two faces have developed slightly different patinas, with natural knots, darker markings and fine scratches adding to its rustic character.
Its simple, traditional form makes it a lovely decorative addition to a French country kitchen. Perfect for displaying upright against a kitchen wall, resting on open shelving or arranging alongside antique French pottery, copper and other traditional wooden kitchen utensils.
A wonderful piece of vintage French kitchenware, equally attractive displayed individually or as part of a collection of old wooden cutting boards.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together. I was quickly reimbursed for overage shipping costs before even requesting a refund! Each jar was very well packed to minimize chance of breakage in transit, and they all arrived undamaged. I will shop here again!
Fantastic! Beautiful! I have been hunting for some Alfred Corneau urns for many years, as most sellers won't send them internationally, as well as at such a reasonable exchange rate. Very happy! : )
