A beautiful antique French cast iron jardinière, dating from around 1900 and retaining a wonderfully timeworn yellow painted finish.
The elongated planter has a decorative ribbed body, scrolling handles to either end and four elegant scrolled feet. Areas of wear to the yellow paint reveal darker tones beneath, while the naturally aged iron and traces of oxidation give the surface plenty of character. Its unusually cheerful colour works particularly well against the more architectural form of the cast iron.
A lovely decorative piece for a French country interior, conservatory or garden room, it could be planted with seasonal flowers or herbs, or simply displayed as an antique object in its own right. The compact proportions also make it well suited to a table, console, windowsill or garden table.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together. I was quickly reimbursed for overage shipping costs before even requesting a refund! Each jar was very well packed to minimize chance of breakage in transit, and they all arrived undamaged. I will shop here again!
Fantastic! Beautiful! I have been hunting for some Alfred Corneau urns for many years, as most sellers won't send them internationally, as well as at such a reasonable exchange rate. Very happy! : )
