A large 19th century antique toleware tray featuring a black painted ground and a decorative border of gilt and grey leaves, interspersed with delicate gold foliage.
The generous oval shape is framed by a gently raised rim, with the repeating leaf motifs creating a striking contrast against the dark background. The centre has been left plain, allowing the decorative border to stand out.
Made from painted metal, the tray retains its original aged finish, with scratches, rubbing and areas of paint loss consistent with its age and use. It remains structurally sound.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together.
