A substantial antique French wooden chopping board, believed to date to the late 19th or early 20th century, c.1900. Crafted from a thick piece of solid wood with a short, integral handle, this rustic chopping block has developed a wonderfully worn surface through many years of use.
Both sides bear an abundance of knife marks, cuts and scratches, with softened edges and a warm, naturally aged patina. Measuring 5.5 cm thick and weighing almost 5 kg, it is a particularly substantial example of traditional French kitchenware.
A lovely decorative piece for a French country kitchen, whether displayed against a wall, on a kitchen worktop or alongside antique pottery and other culinary antiques.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together. I was quickly reimbursed for overage shipping costs before even requesting a refund! Each jar was very well packed to minimize chance of breakage in transit, and they all arrived undamaged. I will shop here again!
Fantastic! Beautiful! I have been hunting for some Alfred Corneau urns for many years, as most sellers won't send them internationally, as well as at such a reasonable exchange rate. Very happy! : )
