A striking French antique terracotta vase dating to the 1920s, finished with a rich blue, cream and green drip glaze over a warm brown base.
The glaze falls organically from the rim, creating vertical movement that draws the eye down into the deeper brown tones of the body. Subtle variations in colour and pooling give the surface a painterly quality, while the gently flared rim and shaped foot add structure and balance.
Made in terracotta, the vase has a reassuring weight and a softly timeworn surface that sits comfortably within both rustic and more considered interiors. It works particularly well as a standalone decorative piece, or styled with simple greenery where the glaze can take centre stage.
A versatile decorative object with strong visual presence, equally suited to a shelf, console, or centrepiece arrangement.
