A small antique French jewellery box dating to the late 19th century, with thick bevelled glass panels set within an ornate gilt-metal framework. Raised on four decorative scrolling feet, the box features finely detailed metal edging, a hinged glass lid and a small fastening clasp.
The interior retains its gathered, pale ivory silk lining, providing a lovely contrast to the aged gilding and clear glass. The decorative feet and intricate metalwork are characteristic of the Napoleon III style.
Perfect for keeping small pieces of jewellery, treasured keepsakes or simply displaying on a dressing table, this little glass casket is a beautiful example of 19th-century decorative accessories.

The vintage glass storage jars are exactly as advertised. Excellent customer service! I placed two separate orders several days apart, but they were packed and shipped together. I was quickly reimbursed for overage shipping costs before even requesting a refund! Each jar was very well packed to minimize chance of breakage in transit, and they all arrived undamaged. I will shop here again!
Fantastic! Beautiful! I have been hunting for some Alfred Corneau urns for many years, as most sellers won't send them internationally, as well as at such a reasonable exchange rate. Very happy! : )
