Antique faisselle, with an orange tone glaze, used to make cheese and dating from the late nineteenth century. Both utilitarian and beautifully rustic, it would make a wonderful display on a kitchen shelf. It could equally be used to hold a candle (it would create a gorgeous glow) or to rinse fruit and vegetables.
It is in very good antique condition with some crazing to the glaze.
