Stunning antique French copper water measure, known as a ferrat, originating from the Auvergne region of France. This particular example has a hammered pattern to the body and dates to the late 18th or early 19th century. It would make a beautiful decoration, it could be used as a champagne bucket, or perhaps to hold logs next to a fireplace.
There is wear commensurate with age and use.
