Antique Fajalauza Pottery from Granada, Spain

Fajalauza pottery, from the Andalusian city of Granada in Southern Spain, date to the 16th century and are still made to this day. The glazed clay pieces are decorated in distinct patterns, hand-painted in blue, white and green. They are often adorned with birds, foliage, flowers and of course pomegranates, the symbol of Granada.

The large terracotta basins or lebrillos were used in the kitchen, but today they can be used as decorative pieces. Hung as wall decor or displayed on a sideboard, a lebrillo can make a beautiful addition to your interiors.
